About Us

Kelsey + Ronny + Chisum
Hi! I'm Kelsey and the main blogger here on "a little birdie blog". I am an Eastern Colorado native, raised on a Red Angus cow-calf operation where my parents are owners of Frasier Farms - RiverBend Ranch. Ronny is an Eastern Kansas native and was raised on a diversified livestock and crop farm, as well as his father being an Animal Science professor at Kansas State University.

We met fall of 2005 while attending Kansas State University when our sorority and fraternity were homecoming partners. Luckily, we had some mutual friends that help put us together and good thing they did! We were married September 19, 2009.

On September 9, 2013, we welcomed our miracle baby into the world, Chisum Marshall. He has brought so much joy into our lives, and we are so much more grateful for the gift of life now more than ever. Read his story. We lived in Seward, Nebraska for five years after we got married (Ronny was there for eight years) where Ronny worked for Genex, Cooperative, a division of CRI, as a Territory Sales Manager in Eastern Nebraska with beef and dairy.  I worked for the Nebraska Corn Board in Lincoln as the Director of Advocacy & Outreach where I managed our communications & social media, created relationships and marketing opportunities with the livestock groups in the state, and coordinated education and promotion activities.

In November of 2014, we moved back to my home state of Colorado to our family ranch. I continue some contract work with the Nebraska Corn Board, which includes blogging on the Nebraska Corn Kernels blog, as well as freelance writing for some ag agencies. I also have my own agvocacy blog, Ag on the Forefront. I love that I can work from home and play with our little boy everyday.

Ronny continues work with Genex in Colorado and Western Kansas as well as working with my Dad on the ranch. We are all loving the country life, especially Hank, the cow dog, and are so grateful to God for all He has blessed us with! Thanks for joining our journey!
