Las Vegas!

If everything that happened in Vegas, stayed in Vegas, I wouldn’t have anything to blog about!

Ronny and I were invited to make the trip to Vegas with some AGR friends and their wives, as well as a few bachelor friends. There were eleven of us in total, and we stayed at the Monte Carlo resort.DSC01743

When these guys all get together, they go a little crazy, but we had such a great time getting all caught up and being together. A lot like college again!

We had a great time on Saturday when Mikey rented a 15 passenger van and we went out to Hoover Dam.

We accomplished everything on my list…walking the strip, riding the New York, New York roller coaster, going to Hoover Dam, seeing the KA` by Cirque du Soleil show, seeing the water show at the Bellagio, going to the original Vegas on Fremont street, playing a little Roulette, and dancing in the club at Mandalay Bay!

Viva Las Vegas!

Carhenge | Alliance, Nebraska

I've been traveling again...
Source: google.ch via Claudia on Pinterest

...but no, not to Stonehenge in England. Similarly though in Alliance, Nebraska is a monument created from classic cars cleverly coined as, "Carhenge".

Carhenge replicates and has the same proportions as Stonehenge with 38 vehicles. The history of this is art project in Alliance is pretty interesting... read the full history of Carhenge here.

This was just a pit stop on a Media Tour I've been on with my Board members. Back on the road again...

Theta Reminiscing

The night before the St. Pat's Road Race, my sister Emily - a current Kappa Alpha Theta - took Patricia, Melissa and I ('04 NMC Theta's) to the Theta house on campus to see the renovations and changes that have been made.

Melissa and I by our first room in the house - Room 12.

Our senior composite!

It was a fun night to reminisce and talk about our favorite memories from our college days!

Day O' Green

St. Pat’s Day was a fun day full of friends, running and all things green.

Ronny, Patricia, Melissa (her blog on the race here) and I ran the St. Pat’s Road Race 10K in Manhattan, KS through the K-State campus. Even though it was a windy day, the weather was beautiful and warm.

My time was a few minutes slower than last year, but I was glad that I didn’t have to stop and kept an even pace. (1:06:45.5 – results here)

After...

Then of course we had to get some green beer and cheer on the Cats (which didn’t turn out so great), but Aggieville was buzzing and such a fun post-race atmosphere to be in. Emily and her roommate, AnnaRose, joined us in Aggieville also.

Then we got to spend some time on the farm and see some other signs of spring, like this adorable little red with a tinge of green growing behind him. I’m so ready for spring!

Happy St. Patrick’s Day | God’s Green Earth

Two things for St. Patrick’s Day:

1. I’m running the St. Pat’s Road Race in Manhattan, KS today with three great people, Patricia, Melissa and Ronny running through the beautiful K-State campus and ending up in Aggieville!

Shelley and I ran it last year, you may remember here.

2. And from my favorite Christian artists perfect for today, “God’s Green Earth”.

Home office redo | Weekend Project #5

Remember one of my goals for the end of 2011 was to redo our spare room for my home office/reading room? Well, I took a huge step to completing that project this weekend.

Thankfully, my Mom loves to paint. So my parents came to Nebraska to visit us, help paint my room, and for Ronny and Dad to get all caught up on their cattle talk.

Here was some of my room inspiration:

I really like these chairs:

I will update you all when I get it all furnished and finished! {Thanks again Mom and Dad for helping!}
